The 1.6 Turbo ECOTEC generates a whopping 207 horsepower and has a speed range from 1900 to 5800 rev / min maximum torque of 245 Nm - thanks to an overboost are in need of even 280 Nm. In the previous figure was 192 hp. To transfer the OPC Power to the front wheels a manual six-speed gearbox with short, crisp shift travel becomes operational.

FSD sports suspension: Novelty - always at the correct frequency
To the force control to be able to put on the road, Opel developed in collaboration with specialists from Koni a chassis that works with an innovative cushioning. The FSD technology (Frequency Selective Damping) allows an adjustment of the damping forces on the motion frequency of the vehicle, creating a balance between uncompromising sportiness and a landscaped level of comfort. According to the makers put out the other suspension components.

In comparison with the regular Corsa models of Opel Corsa OPC is 10 millimeters closer to the asphalt. Thanks to an electronic control system of the latest generation can be used for the stability program ESP and traction control (TC) select different modes. For completely unbridled driving pleasure in the border area can disable the ESP even completely sporty savvy pilots.

In addition, Opel optimized the tuning of the steering, which now responds more directly and precisely on steering wheel movements and informs the OPC pilots, as it is currently ordered by contact with the road. The latter represent the standard performance tires from Michelin 215/45 R17 format forth. 2015 Honda CR V Touring Review It Does Most Things Better

2015 Honda CR-V Touring rear Tufts Cove
The Honda CR-V was Canada’s best-selling SUV in each of 2015s final two months, just as it was in America in seven of the last eight years. (We’re using the term “SUV” loosely here in order to avoid constant delineation.) Canadian and U.S. CR-V volume increased to previously unseen levels in 2014.

American Honda reported 335,019 CR-V sales last year, 28,807 more than Ford managed with its second-best-selling Escape. Honda Canadas CR-V volume was up 9% to 37,684 units.

THE GOOD
• Bigger inside than outside

• LKAS is a wonder
• Nimble but stable
• Ride quality
• 185-bhp is sufficient
THE BAD
• Aggravating touchscreen
• Irritating buttons beside touchscreen
• Not a looker
• Real-world fuel consumption
• More power wouldnt go amiss

North American consumers look favourably upon Honda’s reliability reputation. The CR-V is also a long-established nameplate in a relatively fresh category. But there must be numerous other reasons for the CR-V’s wild success.

More specifically, there must have been numerous other reasons at the tail end of 2014, as a refreshed 2015 CR-V like the one Honda Canada sent to our driveway began to outsell not only all other SUVs with increasingly large margins but also all passenger cars, as well.

Clearly tens of thousands of consumers are willing to overlook the CR-V’s faults, few though there may be.

The CR-V’s new continuously variable transmission, implemented surprisingly well alongside the a 185-horsepower 2.4L four-cylinder, periodically allows revs to fall so low that an unnecessary amount of vibration enters the cabin.

This Touring-trim CR-V is the full meal deal, but it lacks any form of power adjustment for the passenger seat.

The interior, particularly at this lofty CAD $38,335 price tag, is mostly inoffensive but offers luxury only in terms of equipment, not in its materials or design flair. And the interior can certainly offend, with Lilliputian buttons accompanying a touchscreen which failed on all but one occasion to come to life before the five-minute mark of a morning drive.

Speaking subjectively, the CR-V is not the prettiest girl next door – Paris’s Place de lÉtoile doesn’t have as many intersecting lines as the CR-V’s front end. We’re also left to wonder why Honda hires wheel designers whose efforts wouldn’t be good enough for Pontiac circa 2001.

However, the CR-V is near perfect where it counts. It’s less than 180 inches long but packs 2873 litres of completely usable passenger volume into the tidy package. Rear seat passengers enjoy a flat floor that makes three-across trips a distinct possibility. Rear seats up, the CR-V provides 1054 litres of cargo capacity. The Ford Escape is one inch shorter than the CR-V, bumper to bumper, but offers 8% less cargo volume, 3% less passenger space, and 4% less rear legroom. It feels like the dimensional differences are more distinguishable than those figures suggest, especially aft of the rear seat.

For young families who might have sought out an Accord in a previous era, the 2015 CR-V’s space efficiency, easily accessed seat-folding levers, low load floor, and semi-lofty ride height form a winning ticket.
2015 Honda CR-V Touring interior
Fortunately, it drives nicely, as well. There is nothing sporty here, although the steering is well weighted and the brake pedal is nicely modulated. The CR-V accelerates more swiftly than you might expect for a 3642-pound high-rider: Car & Driver says 0-60 mph takes 8.2 seconds. Especially as revs rise to a more Honda-like level, the CR-V doesn’t require more power, but don’t take that as an indication that the CR-V will adequately satisfy your urge to scoot up off-ramps like your fellow hockey parents in their Santa Fe Sport 2.0Ts and Forester XTs. It won’t.

The CR-V may not ride quite as sweetly for MY2015 as it did before the refresh, but overall refinement is still the name of its game. Of greater consequence is the fact that the 2015 CR-V continues to marry subdued ride quality to a nimble chassis. Honda engineers crafted an SUV that feels decidedly compact in routine driving and one which remains rather level-headed through corners, seemingly treading the middle ground between the mature Nissan Rogue and the enthusiastic Mazda CX-5.

2015 CR-V Tourings include most of the features from Honda’s storehouse: all-wheel-drive, navigation, LaneWatch (right side only, of course), keyless access, perforated leather seating, power tailgate, sunroof, and a bevy of safety abbreviations from ABS, EBD, and VSE to CMBS, ACC, LDW, and LKAS, the final being a semi-autonomous steering function that helps to reduce driver fatigue on long highway stints.
2015 Honda CR-V Touring touchscreen
CR-Vs start at $27,785 in LX trim. All-wheel-drive adds $2360 to the price of an LX-trim CR-V but power is sent to all four wheels in each of the upper trim levels: the $31,685 SE, $33,685 EX, $35,685 EX-L, and the $38,335 Touring. We averaged 9.9 L/100km over the course of a week with the CR-V Touring AWD, which tips the scales with 145 extra pounds compared with the base all-wheel-drive CR-V. Cold temperatures, winter tires, frequent snow coverage, and a disproportionate amount of time spent in the city caused the CR-V’s observed fuel economy to come up short of the official Natural Resources Canadas 9.1 L/100km city rating.

The CR-V is certainly not the most exciting small utility vehicle on the market today, nor is it the only one capable of cramming a shocking amount of humankind and stuff into a small space. But it does most things better than most of its potential competitors. There are a couple of niggling issues Honda could quickly resolve, but clearly no issues Honda needs to resolve in order to keep the CR-V at the top of the sales leaderboard.

2015 Ford Mondeo 1 0 Release Date Design Performance Review

2015 Ford Mondeo 1.0 Release Date Design Performance Review - Its the Mondeo, the longest traveler auto Ford offers in the UK, with a 1.0 EcoBoost three-barrel petrol motor, the littlest engine Ford offers in the UK. Not as much as perfect mates, you may think, what with a kerb weight of 1476kg. There are, nonetheless, motivations to fit this 124bhp motor to this huge family auto basically revolved around the way that it returns 55.4mpg on the consolidated cycle and has a 119g/km CO2 figure. The following most proficient petrol motor in the reach is the 158bhp, 1.5-liter four-barrel unit, with 134g/km.

2015 Ford Mondeo 1.0 Release Date Design Performance Review

Were partial to the Ecoboost motor in Fords different autos, however would it be able to hack the Mondeos kerb weight? Pretty much. It helps that it revs greatly easily and quietly, with a quieted three-pot drone that is extremely engaging. It drives the front wheels through a smooth six-pace manual gearbox, so theres pleasure to be had in living up to expectations it. Turbo slack is insignificant at higher revs. Its more regrettable at low revs, however crest torque is produced from 1400rpm, so you dont need to sit tight yearn for it to go ahead melody.

In that way, the 1.0-liter feels much the same as a little limit diesel, just better sounding and with a more extensive rev-band. On paper it cant match the 78.5mpg of Fords most productive 1.5-liter diesel, and out and about I think the crevice will be greater still, such is the way youll rev a motor that, actually providing for its all, can quicken the Mondeo from 0-62mph in just 12 seconds.

Will you advise its a lightweight unit? Not unmistakably. Itd take preferred helmsmanship over I can gather to realize that this Mondeo was 28kg lighter in the nose than a 1.5 petrol I attempted four days beforehand. It simply drives like a Mondeo, despite the fact that that is no terrible thing whatsoever. Regarding ride evenness, directing precision and reaction, and sharpened control weights, the Mondeo is best in class. Where its not is inside, a legacy of the One Ford program that has the Mondeo doing administration in businesses where inner part feel and saw quality isnt on a standard with Europes.

Passage has done what it can for us, however you cant mask it totally. Park a Mondeo alongside a Volkswagen Passat and pore over both inner parts, and you can see why VW thinks the Passat can stand its ground among BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Classes. The Mondeo cant, however it is open front and back, has agreeable seats, a huge boot and simple cruising refinement.

2015 Ford Mondeo 1.0 Release Date Design Performance Review

2015 Ford Mondeo 1.0 Release Date Design Performance Review

The Focus is overhauled for 2015 with more develop styling all around. The Focus now considerably more nearly takes after its European-just cousins, the recently restyled B-Max, C-Max, and S-Max. On the verge of excessively nearly, in the event that you ask me. The inside, on the other hand, is overhauled and upscale with more than a touch of Volvo roused topics, for example, chrome around the air vents. There are likewise new tech trinkets (radar journey control with impact cautioning, path keeping help, begin/stop), yet the genuine story here is whats under the overhauled hood. The littlest EcoBoost is a splendid chunk of innovation. Estimated much the same as the jug of Smartwater youre (perhaps) tasting on, the minor three-barrel delivers 123 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. The most jaw-dropping part is that crest torque happens at a low 1,400 rpm. That is diesel-like, right off unmoving. Passage powertrain master Andrew Fraser clarified that making huge levels of top of the line help with a turbo is simple the scandalous BMW M12 F1 motor of the 1980s could deliver more than 1,100 hp from only 1.5-liters. Getting a little removal motor to create crest torque so low in the force band is as indicated by Fraser troublesome.

Howd Ford isnt that right? The three key EcoBoost advances were a piece of the arrangement. They are, in no request, direct-infusion, turbocharging, and variable camshaft timing. Obviously, those are just the nuts and bolts, and Fraser and his group needed to continue designing to make a 1.0-liter motor tasteful to the masses. Particularly for us American sorts, who as Bob Lutz so broadly said purchase drive yet drive torque. The smaller turbo is sourced from Continental and twists at up to 248,000 rpm. The ventilation system is water-cooled, as well as its fused into the aluminum head. Interestingly, the square is press all the more on that in a moment. The turbo itself jolts right onto the complex, no headers required. Likewise important is that amid light obligation, the fumes valves open late, much the way an Atkinson-cycle motor carries on, however not exactly.

Maybe, however itd take a particular set of circumstances, generally budgetary. In this structure the Mondeo begins from under 20 thousand, which the previously stated VW Passat does not. The Mondeo likewise has an inexorably substantial model reach, through three body styles, including four-wheel drive (albeit not with this motor) and a diesel with up to 210bhp. Theres liable to be a Mondeo for everybody, then, except the purposes behind picking this variation are less convincing than youd trust, and will in all likelihood show up on a spreadsheet.

And they love them more in February 2015 than in February 2014. Camaro volume was up 3% in February. Challenger sales jumped 42%, a gain of 1561 units.

And the top-selling Ford Mustang, Americas 21st-best-selling car through the first two months of 2015, was up 32% in new sixth-gen form to 8454 units, 129% more than the number of Mustangs sold in February 2011.

Sports cars - or coupes with performance intent - that sell certainly share Detroit badges in common. Sales of small European coupes and roadsters in the Mercedes-Benz SLKs class slid 2% to just 1433 units in February, little better than one-sixth the Mustangs total and 1172 units fewer than the Chevrolet Corvette managed on its own.

^ BMW USA, not GoodCarBadCar, has chosen to combine sales figures of the 1-Series and 2-Series.
Clearly GoodCarBadCar is not suggesting that the cars in the two tables above are all direct competitors. Establishing categories among cars as unique as even the Audi TT and Porsche Boxster has never pleased a single reader, so cars have been lumped together so you can simply see how buyers looking for sports cars, roadsters, hot hatches, convertibles, GTs, and wanna-be sports cars spend their money. Greater categorization of cars would only lead to problems that automakers create by not isolating model-specific sales figures: we dont know how many M3s BMW has sold or how many Civics are Si models, for example. The numbers we do have are listed above. The BMW 6-Series has been removed from the premium list because we dont use this space as a showcase for sedans (unless automakers release data for high-end sporting models like the Lexus ISF, as Toyota Canada does) and the 6-Series lineup now relies heavily on a sedan variant. GoodCarBadCar is always open to hearing about the ways you would break down segments, so feel free to get in touch. You can always find the sales results for EVERY vehicle and form your own competitive sets by using the All Vehicle Rankings posts. Sales data for brands such as Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Rolls-Royce etc. are unfortunately not broken down by model. ANDC estimates say sales for those brands in the first two months of February were 206, 354, 126, 30, and 154, respectively. Tesla, unfortunately, doesnt release model-specific monthly U.S. sales data, but HybridCars.com estimates 1400 February Tesla sales, 2900 YTD.

2015 Ford Expedition Review Specs and Prices

Top Cars | 2015 Ford Expedition Review, Specs and Prices | The 2015 Ford Expedition remains based on the Ford F-150; although with the 2015 F-150 going in a radical new direction, with a lightweight aluminum construction, there’s no longer going to be such a direct connection. And we feel like some of the Expedition’s changes on the outside go toward distancing it from the ever-bolder F-Series. Visually, the new Expedition has a somewhat chunkier yet softer and streamlined look within the confines of its carry-over profile. There’s a thick new chrome strip across the back that, from pictures, looks to visually lower this big ute, while wheel sizes now range up to 22 inches and exhaust pipes are now chrome-tipped. Inside, plush new upholsteries have been added, and the Platinum model’s trim has been upgraded for more contrast.

And yes, there is indeed a plush King Ranch model on the way. From a design and functionality standpoint, the biggest news is front and center, where the MyFord Touch infotainment system has been installed here, with an eight-inch screen, two new, smaller full-color 4.2-inch screens flanking the steering wheel, and clean new center-stack design to accommodate it (and fit in with current Ford models). Based on early pictures, we still see the instrument-panel design, outside of those improvements, to be from another era, although the look is pretty cohesive and a lot more convincing.
