Top Cars | 2012 Subaru Forester | Subaru Forester vehicles, manufactured between November 2007 to March 2012, will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers which will inspect the rear seat belts and replace them if necessary, free of charge. The NHTSA is also saying that the rear center seat belt system does not meet federal safety standards and these could inhibit the proper installation of child safety seats because the automatic locking retractors do not lock properly. 

Subaru didn’t say anything about reports received from customers regarding this problem and we don’t know for sure whether or not injuries occurred because of the defective rear seat belts, but if ignores, the risk of an injury to passengers sitting in the seat could increase during a collision. Subaru’s mechanics will replace the rear center seat belt assembly with a new one and the recall is expected to start soon.

At the auto show in Los Angeles will present the fourth generation of the Subaru Forester. Called 2014 Subaru Forester.

Subaru has announced it will debut the 2013 XV Cross Trek at next months New York Auto Show . While based on the companys Impreza platform, engineers worked in several tweaks to the body and chassis to imbue it with a bit more crossover utility. Additional ride height delivers 8.7 inches of ground clearance and a smattering of black plastic cladding helps the vehicle stand out further from its platform donor.
 

A 148-horsepower, 2.0-liter boxer four-cylinder engine provides power and should deliver up to 33 miles per gallon on the highway. Thats not a stellar number for a vehicle this size, but as Subaru points out, its good enough to help the XV Cross Trek nab the honor of being the most fuel-efficient all-wheel drive crossover on the market. Buyers may bolt the engine to either a five-speed manual transmission or CVT. 

Inside, the rear seats can be folded completely flat for around 52.4 cubic feet of cargo area. With the seats up, rear passengers can look forward to around 35.4 inches of leg room. The B’s 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque (as installed in the Impreza) lag 52 and 6 behind the A’s 200 and 151 Subaru’s stated output while the A’s 7400-rpm redline is 800 higher. Thank Toyota’s fuel-injection setup, which squirts both via intake ports.

And directly into the cylinder the system is Big T’s lone contribution to the engine and allows a crushing compression ratio of 12.5:1. “Crushing” is not a descriptor we’d employ for the acceleration, although we estimate a 0-to-60-mph time of around six seconds flat with the six-speed manual; add a couple of tenths with the six-speed auto. Top speed is said to be 143 mph. A resonator pipes sound into the cabin, and above 5000 rpm, there’s enough noise inside the car that you’ll need to scream to talk.

fell free at LA Autoshow with new Model Subaru Impreza Concept.As we already told you, the Impreza concept is powered by a 2.0-liter boxer engine and uses a Lineartronic transmission to drive the wheels through a Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system.

Outside, the face is all "new Subaru", while the the rear is home to some seriously fresh lines (like those rising from the diffuser) that continue the geometric theme from up front. The four-door compact coupe also gets cameras mounted on the A-pillar instead of mirrors, but for now those are still being relegated to the world of concepts.

As for the interior, have a look for yourself in the renderings: the seat design looks great, the dash and gauge pod look production-ready design-wise (minus the high-tech fully touch panel display), and the steering wheels redundant controls are complemented with a touchscreen similar to an iPhones.Model Subaru Impreza 

Add to that the EyeSight camera system which displays safety-based analysis in the gauge cluster and weve got one high-tech, futuristic Subaru thats not just an all-wheel drive meh-mobile.
